Liz Earle

Partway through our boots.com project they bought the brand Liz Earle. Our challenge was to deliver the new Liz Earle site on the same design system without extending any pre-agreed timelines. We succeeded.

We helped Liz Earle bring to life their brand on an e-commerce platform that offers personal service, quality items and quick and convenient delivery.

Designed in 2016, the Liz Earle e-commerce experience continues to outperform the market today.

Following the success of Splendid’s work for Boots, their Digital Experience Language (DEL) was adapted for Liz Earle to bring to life the brand’s core values: sourcing the best ingredients, working responsibly with communities and reducing environmental impact.

Collaborating with the Walgreens' Product team and a Liz Earle team based on the Isle of White, the blended teams worked closely with development partner Cognizant to deliver a scalable e-commerce system on the IBM Aurora platform, in line with the Walgreens-Boots alliance digital strategy.

Splendid defined the extensible design pattern library for future expansion to multiple territories.

We also increased value by adding product sampling at basket-level checkout (increasing potential cross-selling on the next purchase through the website).
